In the world of underwater photography, the Ocean Art competition is a prestigious event that showcases the best of marine life, behaviour, and more. Here are some highlights from the 2019 edition:

In the Wide-Angle category, Nicholas More took the top spot with his captivating image "Blur of Sweetlips", shot in Raja Ampat, Indonesia. Adam Martin and Tobias Friedrich followed closely behind, with Martin's "Eye of the Tornado" from Baja, Mexico earning him third place, and Friedrich's "The Engine" from the Red Sea, Egypt securing second place. Borut Furlan and Claudo Zori clinched fourth place with their respective entries, "Anemone City" and "Toads".

The Portrait category was equally impressive, with Davide Lombroso and Virginia Salzedo taking home second and first place, respectively. Lombroso's "Look at me", shot in Saline Joniche, Italy, and Salzedo's "Gaspare", captured in Puglia, Italy, were standout images in this category. Greg Lecoeur and Galice Hoarau received Honorable Mentions for their photos "Cormoran Underwater" and "Snooty", respectively.

The Marine Life Behavior category was a celebration of unique and fascinating underwater encounters. Paolo Vianna's "A Friendly Ride", shot in Queensland, Australia, took the top spot, while Steven Kovacs and Hannes Klostermann earned Honorable Mentions for their photos "Worm with Eggs" and "Strange Encounters", respectively. Pedro Carillo and 2nd place winner Paolo Bausani also received Honorable Mentions for their photos "The Choir" and "Lethal Fluid".

The Nudibranchs category was a showcase of the vibrant and intricate world of these fascinating sea slugs. Jenny Stock took first place with her photo "Treats from Maloolaba River", shot in Queensland, Australia. Andrey Savin and Chun Ho Tam received Honorable Mentions for their photos "The Sky" and "Sheep in Dreamland", respectively.

Finally, the Radiography category was won by Stephano Cerbai for his photo "The Story", shot in Puerto Galera, Philippines.

In addition to these category winners, it's worth noting that Greg Lecoeur was awarded the Best of Show award at Ocean Art 2019 for his photo "Crab-Eater Seal", shot in the Antarctica Peninsula. Mok Wai Hoe also received recognition, earning 5th place in the Portrait category for his photo "Silky Portrait and Sunset".
