Tourist routes in the Caucasus Reserve reopen during summer season

Heading out to explore the Caucasian Biosphere Reserve? You're in luck! After the long winter, the trails are cleared and ready for adventure! The reserve's press service has shed light on the routes that are up and running, and those scheduled to open soon.

Starting June 11, you can embark on the thrilling route No30—the "Through the mountains to the sea" expedition. Choose your starting point from Lagoni, Uzurup, or Babuk-Aul checkpoints.

Get ready to conquer route No8—the Aishkha pass is almost snow-free, and the challenging, highest section of the path is now accessible.

If you're eager for a refreshing d dip in the Achipsinsk waterfalls or a cozy night at the Holodnyi Camp, routes No13 and No8a are already open for business. Route No9, leading to the enchanting Lake Kardyvach, will welcome visitors from June 16.

Unfortunately, there's still no word on the opening date for route No12—the "Imeretinka Glade." The heavy snow cover is presenting some challenges in preparing the trail and setting up the campsite. It's likely that this route will only be accessible in July.

Don't forget—you'll need a pass to visit any route within the reserve.

If you can't find details on the remaining routes, here are some tips to get the scoop:

  1. Check official sources, such as the reserve's website or social media channels for updates.
  2. Reach out to local park rangers or visitor centers for the most current information on trail conditions and opening dates.
  3. Look to regional tourism websites or travel guides for information about the status of trails and attractions within the reserve.

Happy trails!
