Summer Event Focus: Diversity; Market's Second Season of Summer Activities
Market 2.2, a vibrant gathering place in Schwalmtal, is hosting a series of engaging events throughout August 2025. From cultural evenings to herb walks, wildlife encounters, and educational workshops, there's something for everyone.
Kick off the month with a herb walk in Kaiserpark on August 9th, led by an expert from 10 am to 2 pm. Registration is necessary for this free event. On the same day, the Rolling Forest School will visit the Waldniel market square from 11 am to 1 pm, offering a unique opportunity for grandparents and grandchildren to view local wildlife.
For those interested in learning about patient decrees, advance care directives, and their legal creation, an informative session will be held on August 5th, from 6 pm to 8 pm. Registration is also required for this free event.
On August 12th, André Peeters from Zapuh Grenzland e.V. will discuss funeral precautions, funeral forms, and funeral ceremony design. This event, like the one on the 5th, is free but requires registration.
The cultural evening on August 29th at Market 2.2 promises an enchanting evening featuring Dorothée Wirth and Helga Kleef, with jazzy saxophone sounds and pointed stories. Admission to this event is free.
Outdoor movement games and a colourful movement program are scheduled at Kaiserpark Waldniel on August 13th from 10 am to 12 pm, and August 14th from 3 pm to 4:30 pm, respectively. The meeting point for both events is the parking lot at Lange Straße.
A joint craft morning around the shooting festival will take place on August 19th, from 10 am to 12 pm. Registration is required for this event. The Children's Shooting Festival, including bird shooting, a parade, and play opportunities, will take place on August 20th, from 10 am to 2 pm. Registration is necessary for this event as well.
