Tourism Boom in Krasnodar Krai: Summer Getaways, All-Inclusive Resorts, and More!

Over 600 tourist attractions lined up for visitors in Kuban

Welcome vacationers, get ready for an exciting adventure in the heart of Russia! The Krasnodar Krai is shining brighter than ever, welcoming a staggering 2 million tourists since the beginning of 2025 - a 4% surge from the previous year!

Vice-Governor Alexander Ruppeль recently discussed the region's readiness for tourism at a meeting of the State Council commission. With summer right around the corner, roughly half of the tourist influx is expected to happen during these warm months, strain testing the accommodation resources at their peak. Around 11,000 lodging facilities sporting over 630,000 cozy beds will be available, with every sixth hotel room in the entire country found in Kuban!

As of now, the booking period along the coast spans an impressive 4 months, and the Azov Sea is occupied at 33.5%, while the Black Sea boasts a booking rate of 50%. Rest assured, all our popular resorts are eagerly awaiting your arrival, with projections estimating at least 600,000 travelers during the May holidays.

The past five years have seen the region blooming with new tourism venues, boasting an impressive 180 added hotels. The number of luxurious 4 and 5-star properties increase by 1.5 times, now featuring around 320 sumptuous options, with 86 of them offering the "all-inclusive" and "ultra all-inclusive" experiences. Many of these fabulous establishments are nestled in the charming seaside town of Anapa, with 68 hotels vying for your attention.

When it comes to public health and safety, Ruppeль reassures that the water, food, and air quality in the area is in line with normal standards. Unfortunately, beaches and swimming in the sea remain restricted due to contamination caused by a recent oil spill. The region, however, is tirelessly working on a fantastic event program as an alternative to beach tourism, offering a whopping 600 cultural, sports, and entertainment events this season for you to enjoy!

In light of the environmental disaster, there are discussions about potentially waiving the tourist tax for businesses impacted by the oil spill. A decision is expected by mid-May.

The area also caters to the youngsters, with around 300,000 children flocking to health resorts annually. These facilities are equipped with the best infrastructure, particularly in Anapa and Temryuk District, where a third of the camps are located. This year's focus is on educational, sports, and creative programs, further adding to the region's appeal for families.

Kuban offers a splendid assortment of vacation options beyond the traditional beach holidays. Whether you prefer wining, rural, active, or alternative tourism, the region boasts over 730 attractions this season, ensuring there's something for everyone!
