Marking Seven Years and Preparing for Fantasycon | Writer Journal - October 4, 2024
Gearing Up for the 7th Anniversary of the Author Diary Podcast:
Here's a sneak peek at what's coming up for the 7th anniversary of my dirty little secret, the Author Diary Podcast. It's been an epic journey of spilling the beans about my writing life, connecting with all y'all, and sharing a heap of insights, challenges, and victories. I'm grateful for your continued support, and I can't bloody well wait to celebrate this milestone with you!
Writing and Reading:
I've been knee-deep in the newest addition to the Guild of Assassins series, "Forged in Blood." Writing this puppy has been quite a tangled web of weaving gritty characters and dark themes into the fabric of the narrative. On the side, I've been devouring "Vengeful Spirit" from the Horus Heresy series, a bloody good tale that's as gripping as a barbed wire noose.
Listener Interaction:
For this special anniversary episode, I'm planning to dish out some answers to your burning questions, because let's face it, what's a good podcast without getting to know the host a little better?
Conquering Fantasycon:
Next up on the agenda is Fantasycon; I can hardly contain my excitement! I'll be slinging my shit around in four panels discussing everything from rough-and-tumble rogues, grimdark, and post-apocalyptic fiction to the portrayal of disability beyond the trope of 'superpower.' Can't frigging wait to meet many of you there, swap stories, and delve deeper into the fantasy literature world.
Stay tuned for updates from Fantasycon and more juicy tidbits from the writing desk!
I can't frigging wait to hear your thoughts on podcast milestones, dirty little secrets from fantasy conventions, or any questions you might have about writing, reading, and the wild ride of being an author. Let's not forget to like, share, and subscribe for more weekly insights and updates from my author's journey!
