JetBlue broader Florida services, introduces additional international flight paths
JetBlue, the low-cost airline, is making a significant mark in the travel industry with its expansion plans, focusing on Florida, the Caribbean, and Latin America. The airline's CEO, Joanna Geraghty, has expressed hope for a rebound in demand and bookings, but acknowledged that even a recovery won't fully offset the losses incurred this year.
In a move that will boost its connectivity with the Dominican Republic this winter, JetBlue is launching daily flights from Tampa to Punta Cana and seasonal service from Fort Lauderdale to Santiago de los Caballeros. The airline is also resuming service to Daytona Beach, after a hiatus of nearly seven years, and adding first-ever flights to Vero Beach.
Starting in December, JetBlue will operate daily flights from Boston Logan International Airport and New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport to Daytona Beach and Vero Beach. The airline is also expanding its Florida service from Long Island's MacArthur Airport, adding seasonal flights from the New York airport to Tampa and Fort Myers from mid-December through the end of April.
Looking ahead to late 2025, JetBlue has announced several new year-round nonstop flights from Fort Lauderdale, including to Austin, Tampa, Atlanta, and Norfolk. There will also be increased frequencies on key routes like Los Angeles and Las Vegas. The airline is also introducing eight new Florida routes for the Northern winter 2025/26 season, including flights between Boston and Daytona Beach, Boston to Vero Beach, New York JFK to Daytona Beach and Vero Beach, Fort Myers to Islip, Tampa to Islip, and Tampa to Punta Cana.
JetBlue's first-ever service to Vero Beach Regional Airport will begin on December 11, 2025, with daily flights to Boston and New York. The airline is also adding a second Saturday flight to Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, and Bridgetown, Barbados, during the season.
In addition, JetBlue is increasing frequency of flights from Boston Logan to Guanacaste, Costa Rica, moving from twice weekly to daily service starting December 18, 2025, reflecting an emphasis on natural and sun-filled destinations for leisure travelers.
These expansions, while primarily announced with a start in late 2025, reflect JetBlue’s ongoing strategy to grow leisure and sun destination offerings and strengthen its presence in Florida and the Caribbean. For detailed information specific to 2022 flights, destinations, or resumption of service, older announcements or airline releases from that particular year would need to be consulted, as current results focus on more recent plans.
