Step into the bustling city of New Delhi, where preparations for the much-anticipated Amarnath Yatra are nearing their peak. set to commence on July 3 and conclude on August 9, this 38-day pilgrimage promises a challenging trek to a revered cave shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva at an altitude of 3,880 meters in the Himalayas.

With the first batch of pilgrims gearing up to take the journey, the city hums with frenetic activity as preparations for the arduous trek intensify. The focus, however, is squarely on the devotees' safety. Measures taken range from unprecedented lodging arrangements to meticulous attention to every aspect of the route.

Home Minister Amit Shah emphasizes the importance of maintaining a high state of alert during the yatra, directing the security forces to be ever-vigilant. Key administrative, police, and paramilitary officials have already conducted thorough inspections of the Yatri Niwas, while Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has scrutinized the security preparations themselves.

In response, an impressive force of over 50,000 soldiers has been posted along the routes, base camps, and sensitive areas. UAV drones and helicopters will be strategically utilized for round-the-clock surveillance to maintain a bird's-eye view of the entire pilgrimage.

A three-tier security system will be in place, ensuring comprehensive protection for the yatra participants. This will encompass cutting-edge technologies like body scanners, CCTV cameras, and non-stop surveillance for thorough, real-time monitoring of pilgrims. All registered participants will be equipped with RFID tags for seamless, real-time tracking.

A tight security blanket blankets the routes, composed of more than 500 companies of central paramilitary forces.
