Puro Warsaw Old Town Hotel: A Blend of Scandinavian Chic and Polish History

Nestled in the heart of Warsaw, Puro Warsaw Old Town Hotel is a contemporary addition to the city's vibrant hotel scene. Located at Canaletta 4, 00-099 Warsaw, Poland, this stylish accommodation offers a unique blend of Scandinavian design and Polish tradition.

The hotel's interiors, designed by Copenhagen-based design studio GamFratesi, showcase a timeless, calm, and neutral color palette, evoking relaxed informality and comfort, typical of Scandinavian interiors. This is complemented by the use of high-quality materials and craftsmanship from Scandinavian brands such as Dinesen, Gubi, Carl Hansen & Son, Eikund, Audo Copenhagen, &Tradition, Louis Poulsen, and LYFA.

Custom-designed furniture by GamFratesi adds a minimalistic yet functional touch to the hotel's spaces. A unique artistic feature, a wood relief by Ferdinand Evaldssons, depicting the myth of the mermaid, links Warsaw and Copenhagen, adding a cultural and Scandinavian narrative to the design.

Local artists such as Agata Bogacka, Cezary Poniatowski, Cyril Polaczek, and Karolina Bielawska have also contributed art to the hotel, further weaving Polish and Scandinavian cultural stories together.

The heart of Puro Warsaw Stare Miasto is Mund, a restaurant, bakery, wine bar, and bistro, with a rooftop bar coming later this year. Coffee, tea, and water are complimentary and replenished daily. Mund's food delivers a taste of the Nordics with some Polish favorites, while the wine bar offers oysters with pickled dill stems in elderflower vinegar, Smørrebrød (Danish open sandwich), and Polish kombucha.

Rooms and suites in the hotel feature a calm neutral color palette, natural light, and artwork by Karolina Bielawska. Larger suites have stand-alone tubs, while rooms are shower-only. Breakfast options include a variety of dishes, from an omelette with vegan n'duja to Danish pastries and Polish blueberry bun.

The hotel also boasts a well-equipped gym with rounded travertine stone water stations, weight-lifting machines, treadmills, a dry sauna, and artisanal bricks similar to those found in other parts of the hotel.

Puro Warsaw Old Town Hotel is located on Canaletta Street, near the neo-classical Grand Theatre and the city's main square. Its location, combined with its unique design, makes it a significant example of Scandi chic reimagined in a historic Polish setting.
