America's Breathtaking Odyssey: Good Morning America Ventures Across 50 States Over 50 Weeks

The popular morning show, Good Morning America (GMA), has launched an exciting new yearlong series called "50 States in 50 Weeks: America the Beautiful." The series, which kicked off on July 3, 2025, aims to explore the rich history, culture, and beauty of each of the 50 U.S. states.

ABC News chief meteorologist Ginger Zee began the series in Delaware, the first state to be admitted to the U.S. During her visit, she met the Rehoboth Beach lifeguards, who embody the spirit of community and safety.

On Aug. 1, GMA visited Lake Compounce in Bristol, Connecticut, America's oldest amusement park. The show is set to continue its journey through the states in the order they joined the United States.

The series will feature a GMA anchor or correspondent visiting a new state each week. On Aug. 7, the show stopped by Wally's Café in Boston, Massachusetts, a legendary multi-generational jazz club.

By Aug. 21, 2025, at least three states - Delaware, Connecticut, and Massachusetts - had been covered in the series. The series will continue through July 2026, with GMA visiting one state per week.

On Aug. 14, the show visited Maryland, where the history and legacy of abolitionist and social activist Harriet Tubman is being kept alive on the eastern shore. The series also recently visited Georgia, where the Girl Scouts were first founded.

Viewers can check back each week to see which state is celebrated next in "50 States in 50 Weeks: America the Beautiful." The series promises to showcase the unique charm and character of each state, making it an exciting journey for both the hosts and viewers alike.
