Private jet, originating from Jordan, touched down in Frankfurt. - A Jordanian aircraft touched down in Frankfurt Airport.
In an unprecedented move, a special flight has whisked 171 German citizens and their loved ones from the hotspots of Israel straight to Frankfurt, breaking through the tumultuous Middle Eastern landscape. The plane touched down in the heart of Germany around evening time.
Another special flight has been slotted in for Thursday, but it's already fully booked - hinting at the desperate situation unfolding in the region. The Foreign Office is in the midst of planning another mission to accommodate those eager to flee Israel.
Multiple European countries, including Poland, have organized convoys to Jordan to rescue their citizens in the grips of the chaos. Meanwhile, the German Foreign Office implores Germans to register on its crisis response platform, Elefand.
Initially, the Foreign Office refrained from organizing trips directly out of Israel, citing potential safety risks. Instead, they advised those on the ground to adhere to the security guidelines issued by the Israeli authorities. "They have repeatedly counseled that traveling by land and huddling in large groups isn't ideal in the current climate," a spokesperson shared.
Currently, over 4,000 Germans stand tall on the German crisis preparedness list, Elefand, confirming their location in Israel. The number of German citizens taking refuge in Iran exceeds 1,000.
When it comes to finding a way out of Iran, the Foreign Office suggests traveling overland to Armenia, Turkey or, in certain circumstances, Azerbaijan. These borders remain open, making it possible to continue the expedition to Germany via commercial flights. "Those who decide to break free can join existing commercial flights to Germany. Our terrific embassy in Tehran is working hand-in-hand with the Iranian authorities to facilitate such departures, including providing direct assistance whenever possible," the Foreign Office shared.

Amman's Airport: The Crossroads in the Middle East Thriller
As the military operations between Israel and Iran continue unabated, airspace over both nations stays shut off for commercial air travel, making a swift escape by airplane all but impossible. That hasn't stopped the German Foreign Office from working tirelessly to devise ways to bring their citizens back home safely.
As part of a creative solution, evacuees must arrange their own journeys to Amman's airport in Jordan and the Allenby border crossing or wait for the designated spots where German embassy officials are on the ground to lend a guiding hand. So far, an impressive total of 641 Germans have successfully left the Middle East whirlwind for the sanctuary of Germany by capitalizing on these unique opportunities.
A Glimpse into the Jordanian Safe Zone
Once evacuees arrive in Jordan, they can catch a glimpse of normality as they prepare to board their connecting flights. The vibrant capital of Amman, with its rich history and bustling markets, offers a tantalizing contrast to the turmoil of the surrounding region. As the sun sets, vacationers stroll along the famous Rainbow Street to enjoy dinner at beautiful cafés and accommodating eateries, signaling a defiant act of optimism in the midst of uncertainty.
In the midst of this frenetic scene, the German Foreign Office works tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the safe and efficient processing of each returning traveler. With tensions high and uncertainty lingering, many are eager to find solace in the familiar embrace of their homeland.
